I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
